Do you offer payment plans for trainings?

We offer payment plans for all NBDA® training courses. Please keep in mind all in house payment plan options lessen the closer to the training date. 

We also have payment plan options available with AfterPay and Klarna. 

All payment plan options can be viewed by selecting a training and viewing the checkout screen. 

When is the exact physical address sent to trainees for in person trainings? 

For In Person and Hybrid trainings the address for the exact location is given the Monday before training.

What happens if I cannot attend a training?

If you are unable to attend a training please contact us at Hello@blackdoulas.org, you have the option to reschedule for a later date within 1-year of signing up.

How do I reschedule a training using my credit?

Contact us directly at Hello@blackdoulas.org with your receipt of purchase, and the new selected training that you would like your credit to go towards.

How do I cancel my Doula Membership?

Go into your profile and cancel your membership at anytime. Our system is designed to send out upcoming payment notifications in advance of fees due. 

What is the process for Recertification?

All NBDA® certifications are in good standing for 2 years.

Can I Cross Train with the NBDA® if I have certified with another organization?

At the National Black Doulas Association we believe that every birthworker, parent, and community partner who engages with us deserves an exceptional experience. Your success, your trust, and your journey in this work matter deeply to us. Because of this commitment, every registration, purchase, and training enrollment directly supports the sustainability of our mission to end Black maternal mortality and build thriving careers for Black and Brown doulas nationwide.

No Refund Policy

All payments made to the National Black Doulas Association including: training programs, memberships, events, products, services, payment plans, and registrations — are non-refundable and non-transferable.

This policy allows us to:

Maintain high-quality programming and trainer compensation

Reserve limited seats fairly

Protect scholarship allocations and funding

Allocate operational support and resources equitably across our community

While refunds are not offered, we ensure that support is always available. If a concern arises or you need assistance with your enrollment, we provide:

✔️ Flexible Scheduling Options for upcoming trainings or events (when available)

✔️ Accessible Payment Plan Options to make programs more affordable and sustainable

Attendance & Program Participation

It is the responsibility of each participant to attend scheduled classes, submit required materials, and complete certification steps within the stated timeline. Missed classes, incomplete requirements, or lack of communication do not qualify for refunds or transfers, but NBDA is committed to working with you toward solutions whenever possible.
