How We Serve

The NBDA connects Black birthing families with Black Doulas nationwide. Our overall mission at NBDA is to help fight the Black Maternal Mortality rate in this country and beyond, through educational development and empowerment.

We provide a professional Doula Directory and resources for Black Doulas. Through continuous development opportunities, we help strengthen their Doula business infrastructure.

Welcome to the NBDA Leadership Academy™!!!

The NBDA Leadership Academy™ is the official online training space that houses all of the trainings under the National Black Doulas Association®.

With the exponential growth of the NBDA since we established October 25th, 2017, the NBDA Leadership Academy™ allows our NBDA Licensed Certified Instructors™ to offer more interactive training courses, downloadable material, and information directly to our students, with a broader lense. It is allowing us to reach a global audience. Which in turn gives to a worldwide effect and change!

Our goal with the NBDA Leadership Academy™ is to continue to educate, amplify, empower everything associated with the Black Maternal Epidemic in the Western World from all aspects. All of our curricula are based on evidence, and historical facts continue to perpetuate Western medicine regarding obstetrical violence among BIPOC. Therefore, our emphasis is focused on factual information, as well as the solution. All the while, we are uplifting our status and roles as BIPOC Birthing Professionals and Holistic Healing Practitioners.
